LiDAR scanning services are categorized by environmental complexity to ensure appropriate planning, resource allocation, and accuracy levels.
A straightforward scan for spaces with minimal obstructions, open layouts, and easy accessibility. Suitable for empty buildings, newly completed structures, clear warehouses, or open commercial areas.
Ideal When: The environment is uncluttered and direct line-of-sight is available throughout, allowing for efficient data capture and faster processing.
Outcome: Rapid turnaround with accurate geometry sufficient for layout validation, planning, and general documentation.
A detailed scan designed for spaces with dense furnishings, equipment, machinery, storage racks, or intricate interior architecture. Suitable for furnished offices, operating facilities, retail spaces, warehouses with stock, or hospitality environments with decor and fixtures.
Ideal When: The site contains obstructions, reflective surfaces, tight corners, or varied lighting — all requiring multiple scan positions, greater overlap, and additional processing time.
Outcome: Comprehensive coverage with enhanced accuracy and complete spatial representation for as-built modeling, BIM coordination, and condition reporting.
*PRICING IS DETERMINED AFTER A COMPREHENSIVE SITE ASSESSMENT AND PROJECT CONFIRMATION, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT TOTAL AREA, ACCESSIBILITY, ENVIRONMENT TYPE, DENSITY OF CONTENT, AND SCANNING CONDITIONS. THESE FACTORS DIRECTLY INFLUENCE PROJECT DURATION AND COST.
A point cloud is a high-resolution 3D capture of a real-world space, created using LiDAR or 3D scanning technology.Made up of millions of precise data points, it forms an accurate digital twin that can be used for measurement, modelling, visualization, and design across architecture, engineering, and construction.
The purpose of this work is to perform 3D laser scanning of the client’s building/site to produce a high-accuracy point cloud — a digital representation of the existing structure and environment. This process captures millions of precise data points, allowing for the creation of an accurate digital duplicate of the physical space.
Upon completion of scanning, the client will receive a registered point cloud file (E57) containing full spatial data and color imagery. This digital model can be utilized across a wide range of applications, including but not limited to:
This service provides the client with a high-fidelity digital twin of their building or site. The resulting data offers long-term value, enabling accurate planning, design coordination, and future development without the need for repeated site visits or manual measurements.
Traditional floorplans, elevations, and sections prepared directly from scan data.
Benefit: Developers submit verified plans to municipalities, avoiding delays.
Accurate floor plans created from scan data, suitable for planning, documentation, and integration into architectural workflows.
Detailed plans, elevations, and sections prepared from scan data to support documentation, design integration, and regulatory council submissions.
A clear comparison to help you choose the right floor plan output for your project stage, accuracy needs, and intended use.
Interactive Building Information Model that integrates with all CAD software's.
Benefit: Evolves into a digital twin for long-term facility management.
3D BIM Models are accurate digital representations of a building created from real-world data. They combine geometry with detailed information, allowing architects, engineers, and contractors to coordinate design, documentation, and construction more efficiently, reduce errors, and make informed decisions.
A parametric as-built Building Information Model (BIM) providing precise geometry and visible MEP details for comprehensive project development.
Interactive web-based virtual tours that allow users to explore spaces online, featuring dollhouse views, measurements, and information hotspots.
Benefit: Real estate teams sell faster via immersive tours and remote viewing.
Our Immersive 3D Virtual Tours transform any physical space into a fully interactive digital environment, allowing users to explore properties virtually as if they were there in person. Using LiDAR and photogrammetry, we capture every detail with precision — from room layouts to finishes — producing a visually stunning and data-rich 3D model.
High-quality still images, panoramic views, short-form videos, and rendered visuals extracted directly from scan data for a wide range of communication and presentation uses. Optional drone photography and video can be added to provide aerial views, external context, and site-wide coverage where required.
Benefit: Provides photorealistic context for design decisions, RFIs, documentation, and marketing.
High-quality visual assets generated directly from LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry, and aerial capture. This media package converts accurate spatial data into polished, visually engaging outputs suitable for documentation, coordination, presentation, and marketing across digital and print platforms.
High-quality visual assets are generated directly from LiDAR, photogrammetry, and aerial data. Deliverables include 4K still images, 360° panoramic views, and HDR exports suitable for both print and digital use. Each asset is color-balanced, exposure-optimized, and accurately represents site conditions for reliable visual reference or marketing display.
These services form the standard media deliverable set, regardless of project type or scale.
Transforms technical scan data into polished, visually engaging assets that communicate design intent, condition records, and spatial context.
Optional enhancements that can be applied across all media outputs, not tied to a single capture method.
Enhances communication and engagement by turning static imagery into dynamic, story-driven visual assets for updates, showcases, and stakeholder presentations.
A professionally curated walkthrough that highlights key features of a property or space, ideal for remote viewing, presentations, and marketing purposes.
Users experience a structured journey highlighting key areas, features, or points of interest.
Benefit: Ideal for presentations, reviews, and stakeholder communication. Exportable as an interactive link or MP4 video.
Expert-led virtual tours offering detailed explanations and professional insights into the as-built conditions and critical project features.
A guided walkthrough is a curated, interactive tour that leads viewers through a 3D space following a predefined path. Instead of freely navigating, users are taken on a structured journey that highlights key areas, features, or points of interest.
Provides a structured, story-driven walkthrough of the environment for remote collaboration and client presentations. Supports annotations, titles, and embedded media, and can be exported as an interactive link or MP4 video for clear stakeholder communication.
Note: Timelines may vary based on scene count, editing complexity (music, voiceovers, branding), and the number of revision rounds, this projected time is for a standard tour.
Below is a summary of the available payment structures designed to provide flexibility for various client needs and project sizes.
A 60% deposit is payable before site works commence, a further 30% prior to initial handover of the deliverables for client review, and the remaining 10% within 7 days of final client approval and project sign-off.
Work progresses in clear stages aligned with project milestones.
Example:Quote R20,000 →R12,000 before site scanning → R6,000 before initial deliverables → R2,000 on final approval.
Client pays the full quoted amount upfront.Work is scheduled and completed once payment is received.
A 5% discount is applied when this payment option is selected.
Example:R5,000 → R4,750 paid in full before scan.
Client pays for LiDAR scanning upfront, with optional deliverables invoiced separately as needed.Ideal for clients who require flexibility or phased decision-making.
Example:
LiDAR scan paid upfront
2D drawings / 3D BIM models / media invoiced when commissioned
Client uses Payflex. We receive full payment upfront. Client repays Payflex in 3 monthly or 4 bi-weekly installments. Example: R5,000 → 3 × R1,666 (monthly) OR 4 × R1,250 (bi-weekly).
Client pays 40% upfront. If the property sells, the remaining 60% is due after sale. If not sold, the initial 40% covers costs. Example: Quote R5,000 → R2,000 upfront; R3,000 after sale (if sold). Notes: Only applicable for property agents.
Agency pays a fixed monthly fee for a set number of scans. Additional scans billed separately. Example: R15,000/month → covers 10 scans. Extra scans billed per project. Notes: Only applicable for property agents.
No upfront payment. Client pays a small % of their sales commission if the property sells. If no sale, scan is effectively free. Example: Commission: between 0.1% – 0.3% depending on property size. Notes: Only applicable for principal property agents.
All data is captured as visible at the time of scanning. Beyond Sight is not responsible for inaccessible or obstructed areas.
Excluded deliverables: Any deliverables not listed above are treated as excluded.
